InnoSportlabJanienke Sturm & Menno Deen presented the pilot studies of PlayFit on the InnoSportLab-day in Eindhoven. During the workshop people could become aquatinted with the project, and more importantly with each other. Everyone received a pedometer, counting each step made during the workshop. The attendee wit the highest score won a two hours playsession in the E-Fit zone of embedded fitness. Surprisingly, this was someone in a wheelchair.

Het boek geeft antwoord op de vraag: zijn kinderen digitale alleskunners of ontberen ze juist vaardigheden online? DEN HAAG - Op woensdag 26 mei 2010 om 11.45 uur wordt het eerste exemplaar van het boek ‘Contact! Kinderen en nieuwe media’ aan Z.K.H. de Prins van Oranje overhandigd. De overhandiging wordt gedaan door kinderen die in het boek zijn geportretteerd en vindt plaats tijdens de track eInclusion op het World Congress on Information Technology 2010 (WCIT) in de RAI in Amsterdam. Kinderen maken steeds jonger gebruik van nieuwe media; zij communiceren via sociale netwerksites en spelen online spelletjes. Ouders en leerkrachten worstelen met de voor- en nadelen van deze trend. Journalisten, trendwatchers en columnisten hebben uiteenlopende meningen; ‘kinderen zijn digitale alleskunners!’ versus ‘kinderen ontberen de vaardigheden en zien niet wat reclame is!’. Waar ligt de waarheid? Wat zijn kansen en risico’s? In het boek ‘Contact! Kinderen en nieuwe media’, van het Sociaal Cultureel Planbureau (SCP), Stichting Mijn Kind Online en het programma Digivaardig & Digibewust, geven vooraanstaande wetenschappers antwoorden op deze vragen door bundeling van kennis en nieuw onderzoek. Het boek, uitgegeven door Bohn Stafleu van Loghum, vult daarmee een lacune; voorheen ging de aandacht met name uit naar tieners en nieuwe media. In het nieuws

Contesting to 180 participants, Kim van den Eng and Ruud van Boerdonk won with a platform-puzzle game called Resonance.
